EUDR Compliance for Coffee Importers & Exporters
Coffee is one of the seven EUDR commodity groups: green beans, roasted coffee and instant coffee all fall inside scope from 30 Dec 2026 for large and medium operators. AVN Earth builds plot-level, geolocated evidence at the farm gate, and turns it into a filed-ready Due Diligence Statement, whether you buy from Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, or anywhere else your green coffee is grown.

What this covers
Why coffee needs plot-level evidence
EUDR treats coffee as in scope at every stage of transformation, so a Due Diligence Statement for a roasted or instant product still has to trace back to the original farm plot, not just the last processing site. AVN Earth's technicians collect that plot-level record at origin, before beans are blended, so it survives all the way through roasting and export.
How AVN Earth verifies your coffee supply chain
For coffee, this means GPS-mapping the plot at the point of cherry harvest, verifying the farm against the EU's December 2020 deforestation cut-off, and keeping that record attached to the lot through washing, drying, milling and export — so it's still traceable by the time it reaches a roaster or importer's dock.
This runs through the same four steps we use for every commodity: a field technician maps and GPS-records the plot, we verify it against EU deforestation baselines, every record lands in your AVN Earth dashboard, and you generate a compliant Due Diligence Statement in a few clicks — ready to file with TRACES NT or your own filing system. The UK's proposed forest-risk commodity regime (expected 2027) is set to require broadly the same evidence, so this work isn't wasted if you also trade into the UK.
